Under the Moonlight

Amidst the sound cues of sea waves And under the soothing moonlight I realized, That i miss you and long for you while you are away. The distance is fueling the pain And trenches of the past are hard to escape While I try to move on every time Within your memories my walk turns to stride And I stay longer within them each time. There is not a single day where you escape my mind And I am trapped here Wishing you were here, by my side Holding my hand Listening to the sea waves Under this moonlight. I no more hope of a happy ending where we relive this day together with your palms hold tight against mine I just wish you to see this view with your own sight And hope, you would miss me the same way I am doing tonight Let that be my lie, as truth is beyond my ability to comprehend tonight.
